We can use it to communicate outside centralised, proprietary and privacy invasive networks like Facebook, Twiter etc.
The forum software on our server is called Flarum.
Flarum is the next-generation forum software that makes online discussion fun. It's simple, fast, free and open source.
We have a XMPP chat server installed. This is open technologies for instant messaging, voice, video calls and more.
The XMPP account looks like an email address: john@os.my.to. You can use it with different programs on different devices. There are chat programs for Windows, Android, iOS, Linux and more.
